Magog

The gods made the world. Then in their pride and greed warred over it. They rallied their followers and fought each other. In the wake of these gods brawling cities and lands were laid ruined. Gods are dead. Without them the lands are unproductive and even hostile. 

The city of Magog is a dangerous place. A plague is in the city. Those infected by it grow grotesque boils of magic on their skin. They can use the magic but lack control or skill of it. It poisons their minds and they are hostile to all. It can cause them to explode. 

There are wandering trolls in the city and angels are losing their sanity also with the death of their gods. They are powerful and hostile. 

There are rumors that a god is weak and wounded yet still alive at the palace. Saving him may save us! No one has survived the palace as an angel guards it. 

You come to this once great city of Magog hoping to survive and start fresh.
